ABOUT WYNDHAM COMMUNITY CULTURAL FOUNDATION

Since its inception in 1999, Wyndham Community Cultural Foundation has been a catalyst for arts and culture in Wyndham. Our journey began with a successful campaign to help fund the construction & fit-out of the Wyndham Cultural Centre, a project embraced by the local community. This led to the creation of the Cultural Community Trust Fund, now embodied in the work of Arts Assist, an organisation launched in 2018 that focuses on fulfilling our mission to activate arts and cultural inclusive initiatives across the region.

Today, we are looking for a new board member who shares our passion for fostering community engagement, artistic expression, and cultural growth in Wyndham.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As an Honorary Board Director, you will play a key role in guiding the strategic direction of WCCF. You’ll provide oversight on governance matters, help shape the Foundation’s programs and initiatives, and collaborate with other board members and office bearers to ensure the successful delivery of WCCF’s vision.

The board meets quarterly for a couple of hours to discuss governance matters, and directors are also required to contribute to Arts Assist’s activities and objectives from time to time. Your involvement will make a tangible impact on the development of arts and culture in Wyndham, fostering a sense of belonging and pride within the community.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction and oversight on arts and cultural initiatives
• Support fundraising and grant applications to secure financial resources for the Foundation
• Contribute to the development and execution of creative programs and community projects
• Advocate for arts and culture within Wyndham and beyond
• Collaborate with Arts Assist, an advisory panel responsible for implementing the Foundation’s strategic plan
• Attend quarterly board meetings and contribute to ongoing activities
