The Foundation’s focus for giving is based on eligible organisations, projects, initiatives, and activities they believe can make lasting and powerful change in their field of choice.

THIS IS WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

The purpose of this role is to coordinate the day-to-day operations of the philanthropic foundation, build and maintain relationships with Non-For-Profits and assist with helping to seek funding applications. This role would also assist with decision making regarding donations and input into the overall strategic direction of the foundation. Maintaining and nurturing new and existing stakeholder relationships, adaptability, an ability to multitask, an ability to work independently, and take initiative, are key attributes of this role which is pivotal to the successful operation of the foundation

Working as part of a small agile team, this role will report to the Managing Director. While the role is currently a 0.6 Part time (22.8 hours per week) role, there is opportunity to grow the role, and flexibility around days and hours of work. Ideally you will be available 3 days - Monday and Tuesday and one other day. A combination of onsite and some WFH flexibility is an option for the ideal candidate.

THIS ROLE IS RESPONSIBLE FOR

  • All aspects of stakeholder engagement and relationship management
  • Representing the foundation at events, meetings, and networking activities
  • Assisting with all aspects of donation opportunities, and working with partner organisations to achieve a positive outcome
  • Developing and maintaining accurate grant records
  • Monitoring and reporting on grant progress against key indicators, and providing any additional administrative support as required
  • Developing and maintaining a sophisticated understanding of the strategic philanthropic environment, including understanding of key players, institutions, and trends

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THE ROLE YOU WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING

  • Proven track record of success in a similar not-for-profit/philanthropic sector in a grants, events or office coordination type role
  • Expertise in dealing with philanthropic stakeholders, finance processes and compiling information for audits and regulatory compliance requirements
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to deliver superior account management and stakeholder engagement
  • Exceptional verbal and written communications skills
  • Organised and methodical with strong attention to detail and process
  • High level competency with Microsoft Office
  • Discrete, with the ability to fulfil confidentiality requirements of the role
  • Professional presentation, reliability and ability to multitask
  • Demonstrating a thirst for learning and continuous improvement.
