The Finance Manager is responsible for the administrative, financial, and risk management operations of ERCWA. This role includes the development of a financial and operational strategy, metrics tied to that strategy, and the ongoing development and monitoring of control systems designed to preserve ERCWA assets and report accurate financial results. The Finance Manger is an integral member of the management team and work closely with the General Manager. Please note this role is 0.6 FTE and has flexibility for these hours to be worked over 3-5 days a week.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Implementing and managing the ERCWA Financial Strategy
- Assist in formulating the company's future financial direction and supporting initiatives.
- Monitor and direct the implementation of financial strategic plan.
- Perform in-depth financial analysis and provide expert financial perspective, advice and strategic recommendations to the GM and Board on all financial management and accounting issues.
- Monitor cash balances and cash forecasts.
- Manage CAPEX requests and maintain Fixed Asset register.
- Provide necessary information for PAYG, Workers Compensation and Payroll tax payments and reconciliations as per deadlines.
- Wages related to GL accounts reconciled monthly.
- Provide necessary information for monthly BAS plus quarterly FBT/PAYG instalments ensuring they are submitted and paid on time.
- Ensure that the company complies with all legal and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure that financial recordkeeping meets the requirements of auditors and government agencies.
- Maintain relations with external auditors and investigate their findings and recommendations.
- Manage and maintain appropriate insurance coverage.

Essential
- Proficient in using a range of Microsoft Office packages
- A high level of computer literacy
- MYOB
- Australian accounting and taxation knowledge
- Experience in partnering with a management team
- Worked a minimum of 10 years in a financial role
- Tertiary Accounting qualification
- Australian Working Rights
- National Police Clearance
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Excellent Customer service skills
- Ability to prioritise tasks
- Strong working knowledge of business functions within small and large organisations
