About Us

EthicalJobs.com.au is working to change the world, one job at a time.

We bridge the gap between Australians who want to “work for a better world” and the thousands of for-purpose organisations that tirelessly strive to create that better world.

As a successful for-profit social enterprise and one of Australia’s top job-search sites for the not-for-profit sector and beyond, we support the work of more than 8,000 organisations around the country, and have a passionate community of 380,000+ unique users visiting the site each month.

We’ve grown our jobs, jobseekers, customers and overall impact for 14 years since we launched in 2009.

You’ll be joining a dedicated, passionate and successful team of 37 people who share a vision of a more equitable, just and sustainable world.

We work mostly remotely, but you have the option to work from our spacious office in Collingwood which has loads of natural light, high ceilings, standing desks, a large outdoor deck for lunch in the sun and drinks after work, and great food and coffee just around the corner.

This is a diverse role working to support the Ethicaljobs.com.au team across our People & Culture activities, office support to staff and other projects as they come up.

In the last 2 years we’ve grown from 26 to 37 team members and expanded from being Melbourne-based to having team members across Australia and overseas. This role is essential in supporting our teams to work effectively together, and continuing to grow our headcount.

Key responsibilities include:

  • People & Culture Coordination - including organising social events, staff surveys, professional development, writing & maintaining policy documents; and championing team values and culture;
  • Office Management - including managing relationships with office contractors and our landlord; troubleshooting staff ICT issues, managing office security, and office admin and tidying etc;
  • Team Administration - including scheduling meetings, conducting research into vendors, coordinating projects, analysing organisational data and other admin tasks; and
  • OH&S - including workplace safety, first aid and fire warden responsibilities

About You

If you like every day at work to be different, this role is for you.

We’re looking for a supremely organised all-rounder to join our passionate, busy and high-performing team – helping to keep our organisational growth on track.

You’re a “people person” with lots of energy and great communication skills.

You’re exceptionally organised, diligent and solutions-oriented, and you love supporting a broader team.

You’ve got some experience with recruitment, people & culture initiatives, office management, and/or executive support, and you thrive on working in a busy environment and juggling multiple responsibilities at the same time.

Your meticulous attention to detail means that even the smallest things don’t slip through the cracks.

You’re technologically savvy and able to pick up new software and systems easily.

You love ticking things off your to-do list and can be trusted to get stuff done, no matter how big or small the task.

Finally, you’re passionate about our vision of a better world and would love the challenge of playing an important role in a fast-growing social enterprise.

What do you get beyond a great remuneration package?

  • Work remotely most days if you’d like
