About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic educator who will be responsible for developing and implementing programs designed to promote and educate businesses and residents about our Climate Action Plan. The plan identifies actions we can take to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and how we and the community can prepare and adapt to the expected impacts of climate change.

This position is a part time role in the Environmental Services team based at the Moruya Administration Office. Flexible work arrangements would be considered along with part time and or job share opportunities for suitable candidates.

Your main duties will include:

  • Develop and deliver educational programs which focus on how businesses and residents can change behaviours to assist in implementing our CAP.
  • Successfully deliver sustainability projects and ensure projects are conducted within funding, statutory and Council requirements.
  • Provide advice/guidance to Council and the public with relation to our CAP via educational programs, media releases and publications.
  • Monitor, evaluate and report program effectiveness.
  • Actively liaise with both internal and external stakeholders to aid in facilitating best practices to increase uptake and participation in educational programs.

Total remuneration for the role is in the range of $38.55 to $47.19 gross per hour consisting of:

  • $34.89 to $42.70 base salary
  • $3.66 to $4.48 superannuation (at 10.5%)
