Role Overview

  • Implementing and refining our Information Management, Data Architecture, and Governance Framework.
  • Developing and maintaining robust information systems, data warehouses, and Business Intelligence solutions.
  • Creating insightful analytical reports and interactive dashboards to support business operations and strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define data and information needs.
  • Design and maintain semantic data models for efficient report generation and analytics.
  • Implement and optimise Data Warehousing solutions and ensure data security and integrity.
  • Develop ETL processes and utilise data mining tools to automate data acquisition.
  • Create visually compelling dashboards using tools like MS Power BI and develop OLAP cubes.
  • Interpret complex data sets using statistical techniques to derive actionable insights.

Key Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in IT, Data Science, Statistics, or related disciplines.
  • Proven experience as a BI Developer, Data Engineer, or Data Analyst.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, with experience in Microsoft SQL Server or Azure SQL Database.
  • Expertise in creating data models with SQL Server Analysis Services or Azure Analysis Services.
  • Proficiency in creating visual reports and dashboards with MS Power BI, utilising DAX queries.
  • Familiarity with data orchestration tools such as Azure Data Factory and SSIS.
  • Experience with cloud-based data management platforms (Azure preferred).
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
