OPPORTUNITY

The Food Services Team Leader is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily operations of the Restaurant, Food Van, Warehouse and Café services by supporting the Restaurant Coordinator, Food Van Coordinator, Warehouse Coordinator and Café Coordinator, creating a collaborative and effective working environment. The role ensures that all food service areas operate efficiently, meet health and safety standards and provide high quality service to clients and customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide leadership, guidance, and support to the Restaurant Coordinator, Food Van Coordinator, Warehouse Coordinator and Café Coordinator.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative team environment, encouraging professional development and teamwork.
  • Oversee daily operations to ensure efficient service delivery across all food service areas.
  • Monitor compliance with food safety regulations, hygiene standards and workplace health and safety guidelines.
  • Ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality food and services.
  • Collaborate with the Warehouse Coordinator for inventory management, procurement, and stock control.
  • Assist in budgeting and cost control, ensuring the efficient use of resources.
  • Support the professional development of coordinators through mentorship and training opportunities.
  • Prepare regular reports on food service operations, including financial performance, staffing and inventory.

To be considered for this position, you will have:

  • Qualifications in hospitality management, food services, or a related field.
  • A Food Safety Supervisor certificate.
  • Proven experience in a leadership role within the food services industry, preferably in a multi-site or complex environment.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, hygiene standards, and workplace health and safety practices.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency in using relevant software for scheduling, inventory management, and reporting.
