The MyTime program builds on the capacity of the existing service sector to better respond to the needs of parents and caregivers of young children with disabilities and chronic medical conditions.
The initiative is funded by the Australian Government Department of Social Services and the Parenting Research Centre (PRC) is the National Coordinator for the MyTime Program. The Extended Families MyTime program funding is managed by Down Syndrome Victoria.
The objective of the MyTime program is to ensure that parents and cares of children with disabilities or other additional needs receive the support required in their caring role via peer support groups.
As a MyTime peer support group facilitator, you will work in partnership with parents and carers to help them get to know each other, build skills and confidence and share information.
