about the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a parental leave relief position – 12months fixed term. The focus of the Children's Specialist Worker role is to provide therapeutic support to children who have been exposed to the trauma of domestic and family violence. This position is to commence during August 2024, for up to 30 hrs per week and paid at Grade 5 of the SCHADS award, with above award conditions.

about you

Applicants will have demonstrated extensive experience in working with children who have experienced trauma, in child development and working to promote change with vulnerable families. The work includes some home visiting, centre based work and delivery of evidence-based/informed parenting group programs.
