We continue to carry on the legacy of Professor Fred Hollows, who believed every person had the right to quality eye care, no matter where they live. The Foundation has grown to work in more than 25 countries throughout Africa, South Asia, Southeast Asia, the Middle East and the Pacific, as well as Australia. The Foundation has restored sight to more than 3 million people worldwide. We have an ambitious five-year strategic plan that aims to take us even closer to realising our vision of a world in which no person is needlessly blind or vision impaired and Indigenous Australians exercise their right to sight and good health.
From its very earliest days the Foundation has had a strong commitment to upholding the rights of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples to sight, good health and self-determination. Reconciliation is core to our work in Australia and the Senior RAP Implementation Advisor will play a pivotal role in leading and driving our commitments, through implementation of The Foundation’s Reconciliation Action Plan. This role is responsible for delivering organisation-wide initiatives to embed reconciliation as core business and implement key reconciliation strategies, policies and programs to support better outcomes. The Advisor will report to the Director of Legal, Governance, Risk and Compliance (LGRC) and collaborate closely with stakeholders including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employees, leaders and external partners. As a member of the LGRC team, they will also support wider compliance business to help our organisation deliver within our values.
You will be an experienced RAP implementation professional eager to join an IDO that seeks to be a true ally to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples. You will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven track record in developing successful grants and project development. Your interpersonal skills are exceptional, enabling you to engage stakeholders effectively and demonstrate key measurable outcomes. Finally, you are highly organised and excel in time-management, capable of working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.
Through our internal programs and employee benefits we aim to create an environment where you will feel supported and empowered.
