Join our dynamic team in this newly created role as Events Coordinator!

Fundraising Institute Australia (FIA) is the national peak body representing professional fundraising in Australia. Our mission is to build a vibrant community of best-practice fundraisers and a culture of professional fundraising which we do through education and training, support and advocacy, and the promotion and protection of the fundraising sector.

FIA is seeking a vibrant, organised and detail-orientated Events Coordinator eager to step into a newly created role and make it their own.

As Events Coordinator you will be working closely with the State Liaison Officer to drive the execution and success of the FIA State Committee Events Program (60%), also providing support to the Conference and Awards team on various ad hoc projects (30%) and broader FIA member events (10%).

What does our ideal candidate look like?

  • You have 2 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Event management and planning skills experience (online and in-person)
  • Strong administration, organisational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well in a small team
  • Excellent written and communication skills – in-person, calls and e-mails
  • Experience and strong skills in a range of IT, CRM, and digital/online platforms, including event registrations and virtual events
  • Time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks
  • An understanding of the role and services of a professional membership organisation
  • Full Australian working rights with no restrictions
