We’re on the lookout for Account Executives and Senior Account Executives who are passionate about politics, social causes and the media, and are eager to develop their skills across the board by assisting with a range of PR, government and communications tasks.

You’ll get opportunities to work on everything – the sky's the limit. As an Account Executive/Senior Account Executive, you will be exposed to invaluable learning opportunities with senior staff.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE – TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU SHOULD HAVE:

• 1+ years agency experience working in media, communications, government or stakeholder engagement
• Qualifications in public policy, media and communications, journalism, marketing, or PR
• A good understanding of politics and current affairs
• Confidence in managing client relationships
• A strategic mindset with the ability to help develop engagement and communications strategies
• Strong writing and content development skills for a range of channels including digital and traditional media, social media and web
• A good understanding of the media landscape
• A willingness to travel interstate when required and to work outside of standard hours

DESIRABLE BUT NOT ESSENTIAL:

• Experience in managing social media accounts
• Sound knowledge of InDesign and Meltwater

THE ROLE WILL INVOLVE:

• Assisting Account Managers and Directors on small and large accounts to ensure projects are delivered according to deadlines and budgets
• Contributing creative and strategic ideas to projects
• Building strong relationships and liaising with clients, media and stakeholders
• Assisting on PR campaigns including high-level media pitching
• Liaising with Ministerial offices and political influencers
• Developing a wide range of communications collateral, including media releases, invitations, social eKits, blogs, key messages, fact sheets and policy submissions
• Keeping abreast of communications trends, political and current affairs and the daily news cycle to help identify opportunities for effective PR, engagement strategies and tactics
• Assisting to drive new business opportunities, including the development of proposals and pitching to potential clients

We’re looking for a number of staff/PR specialists (at all levels) to join our team on a permanent contract. Salary commensurate with experience.
