About the Role

Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the community? Do you excel in engaging with people and possess exceptional administrative skills? We are seeking a dedicated and driven individual to join our team as a Fundraising Assistant! This role is a part-time, 3 days per week position.

What will you do?

As the Fundraising Assistant, you will be the first point of contact for donor and general inquiries received through various channels, including telephone, email, mail, or face-to-face interactions. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Provide administrative support to the Fundraising Team for various campaigns and fundraising activities.
  • Conduct follow-up communication with donors and stakeholders regarding their donations or payments.
  • Establish and maintain a schedule for donor acknowledgment.
  • Participate and assist in the execution of fundraising events and campaigns.
  • Manage a team of volunteers, ensuring high performance, engagement, and job satisfaction.
  • Develop and implement efficient systems for donation processing, batching, banking, receipting, and financial reporting.
  • Perform data entry, financial processing, and record-keeping for all donations, ensuring accurate fund allocation and donor detail updates.
  • Create and present reports showcasing the impact of donations, illustrating how contributions support the Fight Cancer Foundation's mission.
  • Maintain database integrity with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ensure the donor database is current and accurate as inquiries are received.
  • Provide general administrative support to the Fundraising Team as needed.

About You

  • Experience in data entry and general administration, including maintaining a database accurately.
  • Proficiency in using fundraising platforms and CRM systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including telephone communication.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to multitask and meet competing deadlines.
  • Experience in social media and developing/executing communication plans.
  • Knowledge and understanding of fundraising principles and practices are preferred.
