About the Role

The Executive Assistant position has a pivotal role in supporting FAC’s Managing Partner with crucial administrative and scheduling tasks. In addition, this role will support and enhance the Corporate Services function at FAC; this will include many exciting and varied tasks that will ensure you are always learning and never bored!

The role will include working in a team environment and autonomously, depending on the project or task. Effective time management and excellent organisational skills are necessary for this role.

Key Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive support to the Managing Partner. Duties include but are not limited to:

Minute-taking and report preparation.

  • Meeting scheduling and organising.
  • Travel and accommodation bookings as required.
  • Prepare briefs and correspondence as required.
  • Board liaison and support.
  • Undertake desktop research and background briefings.

Support the Director of Corporate Services in enhancing the Corporate Services functions at FAC. Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Assist in developing, implementing and monitoring the systems and processes necessary for the smooth operation of the Corporate Services functions.
  • Provide support to review and update corporate policies and procedures.
  • Be an active participant in operational projects.
  • Support the development of team events.
  • Provide office management support.

Key Selection Criteria

  • Demonstratable experience prioritising administrative duties, including organising and managing workload in an environment with multiple and conflicting demands.
  • Comprehensive working knowledge of Microsoft Office (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • The ability to take initiative and prioritise work over a range of tasks and consistently meet deadlines.
  • An ability to work cooperatively in a team environment and collaboratively with other teams.
  • The ability to professionally represent First Australian Capital when dealing with other organisations.
  • Experience in desktop research and report writing.
  • Proficient in using and developing cloud-based tools and apps such as CRM databases.
  • Experience supporting and preparing Board papers.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A Vocational or undergraduate qualification in a relevant field (e.g. Office Administration, Project Support) is desirable.
  • Ideally, 5+ years of experience in a similar role or transferable skills from a similar role.
  • Previous experience working in an Indigenous led organisation.
  • Profound knowledge and understanding of Indigenous societies, cultures and issues affecting Indigenous Australians
