The role:
Reporting to the CEO, the General Manager role is to provide strategic direction and leadership for the planning and delivery of services to ensure high quality outcomes for Participants and their families.
You will:
- Provide effective leadership and demonstrate effectiveness at a senior level in planning, leading, organising and directing staff, teams and projects.
- Have high expectations and standards and provide quality support.
- Have demonstrated previous experience managing and leading a team
- Have a good level of knowledge and application of Active Support principals.
- Have demonstrated previous work experience in a senior role in disability support or a community sector organisation.
- Is able to demonstrate sound knowledge of the trends and issues relevant to adults with disability.
- An understanding of and commitment to the principles of Equal Employment & Opportunity, Work Health & Safety (WHS) requirements, Cultural Diversity and Ethical Practices.
- To be physically well.
- Be able to lift to the statutory limit.
- Have excellent skills with Microsoft office suite.
- Be reliable, committed and flexible.
- Have a strong commitment to a safe and healthy workplace.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Hold a valid and current Australian Driver's Licence.
- Have an NDISWSC & Working with Children clearance.
