ABOUT THE ROLE

The role of Service Manager, Farm Stay & Recreation is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the farm which includes feeding and checking animals, oversight of maintenance and property upkeep, and the overall management of the Farm Stay booking system to ensure a quality experience for all guests.

Reporting to the Farm Committee, the Farm Manager will identify opportunities to create seamless operational systems across, housekeeping, reservations, and activities in addition to property & animal care. Set up to cater specifically for participants with a disability and their families.

ABOUT YOU

The position requires a manager who has an innovative thought process, strong administrative and organisational skills, an enjoyment for recreational activities, strong customer service and communication skills. The role requires the ability to work independently, be flexible, motivational with an enthusiasm to teach, and role model for others.

Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the farm which includes feeding and checking animals, oversight of maintenance and property upkeep and the overall management of the Farm Stay booking system to ensure a quality experience for all guests.

  • Strong and demonstrated experience in the development, delivery and evaluation of recreational programs. Experience delivering programs for people with disability is essential
  • An understanding of a Farm Stay structure and ability to care for farm animals and coordinate maintenance contractors
  • Demonstrated superior planning and organisational skills and the ability to adapt and work independently
  • Ability to problem solve and demonstrate strong communication skills in oral and written form
  • Qualifications in Sport, Leisure or Community Services or demonstrate equivalent experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of disability sector funding and including the NDIS.
  • High-level knowledge and understanding of the policy, procedures and standards pertaining to the provision of overnight stays and delivering recreation programs for people with a disability
  • Commitment to social justice principles and access and equity.
  • Demonstrated high level customer/sales and networking/marketing service skills.
