This is an exciting opportunity to lead our Volunteer Engagement Team at Family Life. With a volunteer cohort of over 300 across our Op Shops, Distribution Centre and service areas, these passionate and generous community members are core to our organisation’s vision, and you’ll be responsible for growing the engagement and impact of our volunteering program.
Supported by two Volunteer Engagement Coordinators and working closely with our Social Enterprise team and other people leaders, you will coordinate the development and implementation of Family Life’s volunteer strategy, inspiring a professional and dynamic volunteering program.
The key objectives of the position are to grow Family Life’s volunteer program, streamline processes through effective CRM management, ensure compliance with the National Standards and appropriate frameworks, and drive strong volunteer engagement with a view to improving our customer and community service focus and community profile.
Based in our Sandringham office and occasionally at our Frankston office, with outreach to our community stores and sites across Bayside, Kingston and the Mornington Peninsula , this is a contract role, working 34.2 hours per week (a nine day fortnight).

You are a personable, enthusiastic professional, who will thrive on developing and maintaining productive relationships with key stakeholders. Your interpersonal and communication skills, as well as your ability to engage all types of people and personalities is exceptional. As the ideal candidate, you will be highly organised, skilled at recruitment and onboarding, focused on volunteer engagement and able to manage a full workload, balancing varied demands with planned volunteer program activities.
With strong admin, IT and reporting skills, you are passionate about continuous improvement which will enhance the volunteer experience with Family Life. A reliable car, an energetic, enthusiastic and flexible approach, and a passion for people are key elements of success in the role.
