FoundoBlue is an outreach counselling service providing a range of support services to the construction industry. We are looking for a compassionate and experienced psychotherapist to join our team.
About the Role
- Providing short-term and longer-term counselling to a diverse presentation from stakeholders of the organisation.
- Provide workplace critical incident response when requested.
- Participate in the treatment and management of both general and complex conditions.
- Demonstrate the ability to solve clinical and non-clinical issues in daily work.
- Deliver mental health and suicide prevention training to groups of people.
- Work independently within a multidisciplinary team.
- Supported with ongoing professional development and training.
- Early morning mental health training when requested.
- Occasional travel to regional areas as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Psychotherapy and Counselling, or Psychology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in providing counselling services for 12 months or longer.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Empathetic and non-judgemental approach to counselling.
- Ability in maintaining strong boundaries, confidentiality and ethical standards.
- Show flexibility by working in different settings, including community and clinical environments.
- Engage in professional development activities and apply new knowledge to diverse clinical situations.
- Exhibit confidence in clinical reasoning skills across a wide range of cases.
- Collaborate with multiple stakeholders regarding client care.
About You
- Show a passion for continuous learning and growth in both clinical and non-clinical settings.
- Possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Be capable of working independently as well as being a team player.
- Be confident in your role while remaining open to feedback.
- Hold current PACFA, ACA, AHPRA or relevant industry body registration.
- Have a valid driver's license and access to your own vehicle.
- Current First Aid (or willing to obtain).
- Current Working with Children Check (WWCC) and National Police Check.
