Brisbane community radio station, 4ZZZ, is looking for a part-time Community Engagement Coordinator.

The Community Engagement Coordinator works to implement and administer effective outreach programs and use communication tools to bring local communities into the fold of 4ZZZ.

It's a broad role whose duties range from organising outreach events to creating on-air & digital content to promote 4ZZZ fundraising campaigns.

The person for this role will have strong networks in Brisbane communities, impeccable communication skills and a keen understanding of how to connect a diverse range of people to 4ZZZ.

About 4ZZZ

4ZZZ is Queensland’s longest running FM radio station. As a not-for-profit community broadcaster, we have been reliably pumping out alternative music, news and culture since we began at the University of Queensland in 1975.

Selection Criteria

  • Strong understanding of internal and external stakeholders of 4ZZZ
  • Experience using relevant social media platforms to promote events or organisations
  • Outstanding written & verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to connect & engage groups of people in an organisation
  • Strong copywriting experience
  • Design and branding experience including proficiency in Adobe editing suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro)
  • Basic knowledge of front-end web development in HTML, CSS and Javascript highly desirable, and EDM experience using WYSIWYG editor
  • Experience in managing and training desirable but not required
  • Knowledge of 4ZZZ and community broadcasting sector
