Who is Fresh Markets Australia (FMA)?

Fresh Markets Australia (FMA) is a national organisation that represents each of the six Market Chambers within Australia. Each market chamber is a member organisation representing its members: the fruit and vegetable wholesalers, located within their central market. There are six central Markets - Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth and Newcastle.

About the role

The Victorian State Program Coordinator will be required to perform activations and promotions; events with members; campaigns’ and partnership merchandising activities in current and future member stores.

This role will be positioned within the national ‘A better choice!’ team, which will support marketing, communications and member engagement. The role will collaborate closely with the Victorian members who fund the program, ensuring local targets and expectations are met.

Program Coordination:

• Manage and retain ‘A better choice!’ member stores, through a combination of in-person visits to retail stores across Victoria, as well as outbound phone and email contact.
• Contribute to the development of the Victorian ‘A better choice!’ marketing plan, in collaboration with the Melbourne Market Authority and Fresh State Marketing teams.
• Execute state-wide marketing and promotional activities, such as events and campaigns.
• Increase campaign participation among current member stores through relationship-building and engagement.
• Manage onboarding of all new Victorian member stores and relevant business enquiries.
• Engage with the wholesalers and growers to increase brand satisfaction with key stakeholders.

Retail store merchandising and activations:

• Manage retailer store merchandising in member stores across Victoria in order to increase brand awareness of the program.
• Conduct promotional activities at member stores through events and advertising.
• Manage the execution of fresh produce partnership agreements in-store.

Administration & Team Support:

• Manage and update all existing and new ‘A better choice’ member information, through the CRM portal.
• Weekly reporting on store performances based on KPI’s.
• Build relationships and work collaboratively with the Melbourne Market Authority and Fresh State, as well as other state-based ‘A better choice’ marketing teams.
