Friends of the Earth is looking for a Database Administration Officer to work alongside our Database Coordinator and maintain our NationBuilder database and the functionality of our digital campaign asset used by our campaigners to advance social and environmental justice issues. If you love data and drilling into the backend detail then this role may be for you.
Title: Database Administration Officer (backfill role)
Hours: 3 days/ 24 hours per week (0.6FTE)
Location: 312 Smith Street, Collingwood, Victoria
Contract: 12 months - fixed term
Salary: $88,712 per annum, pro rata, plus superannuation and entitlements.
We believe that climate change disproportionately hurts the most marginalised people in society, including First Nations people, people of colour, people from working-class backgrounds, women and LGBTQIA+ people. We believe that these communities must be centred in the work we do. Hence, we strongly encourage applications from people with these identities or who are members of other marginalised communities.
Friends of the Earth Australia is a Federation of autonomous groups who are working towards an environmentally sustainable and socially equitable future. Friends of the Earth functions both through the activities of its member groups and on the national level through national campaigns and projects, appointed spokespeople, and national liaison officers. Friends of the Earth Australia is an anti-hierarchical organisation that uses consensus decision-making processes. This means there are no bosses, and everyone gets a say in how the organisation is run and the strategic direction our organising and campaigns take.
Friends of the Earth Australia is the national member group of Friends of the Earth International, which has groups in over 70 countries worldwide.
