Froebel Fitzroy North is one of 5 early learning services run by the not-for-profit provider Froebel Australia. The centre has places for 69 children from 6 months to 5 years of age located in a leafy area with beautiful outdoor environments. The service has received an “Exceeding National Quality Standard” rating in all seven Quality Areas.

Our educational program focuses on immersive language learning (second language: German) and inquiry-based early learning by implementing the Little Scientists program. Frequent excursions within the local community are also an integral part of our curriculum.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed German-speaking Educator to join our Kinder team. The role is 37.5 hours per week (7.5 hours per day) worked Monday to Friday.

The preferred candidate will:

• hold an ACECQA approved Certificate III or Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or be actively working towards an approved Early Childhood qualification in Australia
• have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build and grow trusting relationships with colleagues, families and community members
• have an interest in immersive language learning and inquiry-based learning
• have an understanding of contemporary child safe practices
• have a sunny personality with a positive mindset!
