Gasworks Arts Park is a vibrant arts precinct producing a range of high-quality visual and performing arts programs, workshops and activities for all ages. Situated in Albert Park, Melbourne, on the site of the former South Melbourne Gas Plant, Gasworks is just three kilometres from the CBD and the precinct houses four hectares of park, two theatres, three gallery spaces, a café, as well as function and workshop spaces. Our event program encompasses 250 theatre performances a year, 800 workshops and 30 exhibitions.

We have a strong commitment to equity and social justice, as evidenced by many programs over the years addressing issues connected to disability, poverty, mental illness, literacy, refugees and the LGBTQIA+ community. We run accessible Kids Holiday Programs, have a long-standing relationship with Midsumma Festival and Fringe Festival, host the sustainable outdoor sculptural exhibitions and support and develop new queer playwriting talent in QPAS.

Through our theatres and our resident studio artist program, we have been an incubator of artist careers across painting, ceramics, sculpture, dance, comedy, physical theatre and drama.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for a highly organised individual that has a background in customer service and administration to join us as Reception and Administration Coordinator.

In this role you will be responsible for delivering a friendly and efficient reception service whilst also providing administrative support to a busy and dynamic office.

Our ideal applicant will have excellent interpersonal, organisation and time management skills, as well as intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Work, Excel, Outlook). Some understanding of arts and arts organisations will be considered favourably, as will experience with online ticketing systems.

This is an 8 month contract position with a salary of $60,000 depending on experience.
