About the role

Are you ready to be a force of positive change in the lives of adults living with disabilities? Are you eager to foster personal growth and make a lasting impact? Look no further! We are seeking reliable and flexible casual workers to join our growing team, where no two days are the same.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide person-centred support that caters to the unique needs, preferences, and goals of each resident. Promote their independence and ensure their overall well-being.
  • Assist residents with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, grooming, meal preparation, and medication management. Your presence will bring comfort and confidence.
  • Create a vibrant living environment by planning and facilitating recreational and social activities. Encourage participation and meaningful interactions that promote social connections.
  • Be a compassionate listener and a source of emotional support. Your presence and understanding will provide a sense of security and belonging.
  • Maintain a clean and organised living space for residents. Assist with household chores, laundry, and other tasks that contribute to a comfortable living environment.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough records of daily activities, progress, and incidents. Clear and concise documentation is crucial for effective communication and care continuity.
  • Possess the ability to respond calmly and effectively in challenging situations or emergencies. Your quick thinking and problem-solving skills will shine.

To truly succeed in this role, we ask for:

  • NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain one)
  • NDIS Workers Orientation Module (or willingness to obtain)
  • Valid Australian Driver's License
  • Victorian Working with Children Check (employee status) or willingness to obtain
  • Current CPR & First Aid certificate
  • Qualification in Disability, Community Services, Social Work or equivalent (desirable)

Shortlisted candidates will need to be able to attend a group interview being held November 11th 9:30am – 11:30am at our head office in North Geelong.

If successful after the group interview, candidates will be required to attend our two day induction on 26th & 27th November.
