We are looking for a dedicated, female disability support worker to join the friendly, supportive and positive team at Ormond for a permanent part time position, consisting of 27 hours per fortnight. You will take an active and holistic role in providing support and assistance to people with disabilities within a residential setting.

This role is open to female applicants only, as permitted under the Sex Discrimination Act 1984 (Cth).

At Gateways we work on a fortnightly, Week 1 / Week 2 roster, our work weeks run Thursday to Wednesday. The roster for this line is stated below:

Week 1

Friday: 3pm – 10pm (7 hours) & sleepover
Saturday: 7am – 9am (2 hours)

Week 2

Saturday: 3pm – 10pm (7 hours) & sleepover
Sunday: 7am – 9am (2 hours)
Tuesday: 3pm – 10pm (7 hours) & sleepover
Wednesday: 7am – 9am (2 hours)

What you will need

A passion for supporting people to live their best lives, highly developed problem-solving skills, effective communication skills, as well as a desire to join and contribute to a positive workplace culture!

Please note that the following compliance documents are required if successful for the role:

  • NDIS Worker Screening Check clearance (or willingness to obtain one)
  • NDIS Workers Orientation Module (certificate of completion)
  • Employee Working with Children Check (Victorian)
  • Current First Aid & CPR certificate
  • Valid Victorian Driver's License
  • Qualification in Disability, Community Services, Social Work or equivalent (desirable)
