About the role:

We currently have three permanent part time positions available across two of our houses. Two lines are in Grovedale for 31.5 hours (Line A) and 39.25 hours (Line B) per fortnight and another line is in Belmont for 27 hours (Line C) per fortnight.

In the capacity of a Residential Support Worker, you will provide extensive support to individuals with disabilities within a residential setting, covering tasks such as personal care, meal assistance, hoisting, and transfers.

At Gateways we work on a fortnightly, Week 1/ Week 2 roster, our work weeks run Thursday to Wednesday. Roster details are below:

Line A (31.5 hours)

Week 1:

  • Tuesday: 6:30am – 9:30am (3 hours)

Week 2:

  • Thursday: 2:45pm – 9pm (6.25 hours)
  • Friday: 3pm – 8pm (5 hours)
  • Saturday: 3pm – 8pm (5 hours)
  • Sunday: 3:15pm – 10pm (6.75 hours) & sleepover
  • Monday: 6:30am – 9am (2.5 hours)
  • Tuesday: 6:30am – 9:30am (3 hours)

Line B (39.25 hours)

Week 1:

  • Saturday: 4pm – 8pm (4 hours)
  • Sunday: 3:15 – 10pm (6.75 hours) & sleepover
  • Monday: 6:30am – 9am (2.5 hours)
  • Tuesday: 2:45 – 9pm (6.25 hours)

Week 2:

  • Thursday: 6:30am – 9:30am (3 hours)
  • Friday: 6:30 – 9:30am (3 hours)
  • Saturday: 8am – 3:30pm (7.5 hours)
  • Monday: 2:45pm – 9pm (6.25 hours)

Line C (27 hours)

Week 1:

  • Sunday: 10pm – 12am (2 hours) - active night
  • Monday: 12am – 7am (7 hours) – active night
  • Tuesday: 7am – 9am (2 hours)
  • Wednesday: 3pm – 10pm (7 hours)

Week 2:

  • Saturday: 3pm – 10pm (7 hours)
  • Tuesday: 7am – 9am (2 hours)

  • NDIS Worker Screening Check clearance (or willingness to obtain one)
  • NDIS Workers Orientation Module (certificate of completion)
  • Employee Working with Children Check (Victorian)
  • Current First Aid & CPR certificate
  • Valid Victorian Driver's License
  • Qualification in Disability, Community Services, Social Work or equivalent (desirable)
