About you

As our, Policy Coordinator, Education Policy and Guidance, you will call upon your experience in developing and reviewing health and education policies to undertake a range of activities within the Education Governance department to support the integrity of the RACGP Fellowship program.

You will also demonstrate:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in public health, social policy, law or a related field.
  • Ability to work effectively, flexibly and collaboratively with colleagues within and beyond the immediate work unit, contributing to the achievement of team goals.
  • Project coordination experience with the ability to deliver on project objectives and mitigate risks.
  • A high level of administration skills, including attention to detail, planning, accuracy and data management.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook with the ability to learn and use new systems quickly and effectively.
  • Ability to prioritise work, meet deadlines and manage a range of complex tasks in a changing work environment while maintaining an attention to detail.
  • Experience in building effective working relationships across a diverse range of stakeholders.

About the opportunity

Reporting to Education Policy and Guidance Lead, you’ll work across multiple projects related to improving the development and implementation of the RACGP Education Policy and Guidance Framework, including supporting PLT Transition. You will call upon your strong stakeholder engagement skills to foster relationships, and technical expertise to understand the complex processes used across the RACGP business units that work with and under education policy. You will also support the Education Policy and Guidance lead in contributing to distinct areas of policy and guidance review.

Your responsibilities will also include:

  • Work with the Education Policy and Guidance Lead to deliver projects related to education policies and guidance.
  • Manage the development and review of handbooks, manuals and policies as directed by the Policy and Guidance Lead ensuring suitable internal and external consultation.
  • In collaboration with the Education Policy and Guidance Lead, undertake research, development and presentation of position statements and briefing papers for senior management, the Council of Censors and other Education Committees on policies and standards related issues.
  • Coordinate updates to education policy and guidance related website content, ensure appropriate searchable document management systems and processes are in place to support the maintenance of changes.
  • Coordinate communications for the Policy and Guidance framework to internal and external stakeholders.
