Facility Project Lead

Step into our new Facility Project Lead role! This new opportunity is available on a 6-month fixed term part-time (0.6) basis. The salary for this role is a SHADS Level 7.1 ($115,626.68 pro rata), plus superannuation and $15,990 salary sacrificing.

Our Operations and Contracts team are responsible for creating a healthy and safe workplace that focuses on the wellbeing and productivity of GenWest employees.

As Facility Project Lead you will sit within the Facilities team, you will report to the General Manager – Safer Places & Recovery and or Project Manager.

Your role will support the wider team with adhering to GenWest Facilities operations & project requirements. You will collaborate with various stakeholders, whilst managing budgets, and ensuring compliance within the organisation. This role is required to travel to our various sites across West Naarm.

You will be responsible for:

  • Leading project teams, providing direction and support throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Preparing, managing, and monitoring project budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions, regulations and tracking all expenditures.
  • Establishing quality standards and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and industry best practices.
  • Conducting regular site inspections and audits to assess project progress and quality.
  • Maintaining accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports.
  • Preparing and presenting project status reports, including milestones, financial performance, and risks to management and stakeholders.

Essential:

  • Bachelor’s degree in project management or certificate in facility management or 3+ years of experience in project management, specifically in renovation or construction projects.
  • Proficient in project management software and tools (e.g. MS project).
  • Advanced Excel Skills.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work in a construction environment and on-site as needed.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience in the community sector.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • The ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities.

This role has the possibility of extension post the 6-month contract period.
