  • SCHADS Classification Level 4 - 5 salary range is $74,172.28 - $88,693.80 per annum (pro-rata) + superannuation, determined by relevant experience and qualifications
  • GetUp offers a loading of $8,500 p/a for all employees who identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander
  • Full-time permanent position ideally based in Sydney

Who is the Content Team

GetUp’s Content Team is a small, high performance team of designers, video producers, editors and digital experts. The Content Team supports our campaigns with innovative creative content including producing TV and digital video projects, crafting cut-through design products, and sharing stories that rally our progressive base.

As a content producer at GetUp, you will be responsible for:

  • Producing high quality creative campaign and brand collateral;
  • Executing the production of creative and brand collateral;
  • Working with campaigners to generate creative content ideas and innovate new ways to incorporate them into campaigns;
  • Developing, managing & moderating social media content;
  • Participating in a strong team culture of experimentation, innovation, evaluation and learning;
  • Working within the creative team to execute its strategy and meet its goals;
  • Supervising other staff and/or volunteers as required.

You will be someone who is/has:

  • Passionate about growing and strengthening a movement of everyday people committed to creating change on a range of hot button issues;
  • A whiz in Adobe Suite software including Premier, After Effects, Illustrator and Photoshop;
  • Experience in graphic design and/or a willingness to develop these skills quickly;
  • Experience in end-to-end creation of quality video content that speaks to diverse audiences across a range of platforms, including field producing, filming, and editing;
  • Excellent writing skills with the ability to to draft up a punchy script or text-based product – and then make it a reality;
  • Can interpret and execute a brief, quickly sourcing and shooting footage as required
  • A creative, innovative and collaborative worker who can work across multiple projects at once;
  • Loves the internet – the kind of person who can identify new trends, content opportunities, and is excited to optimise content for key audiences;
  • A team player who is always endeavouring to be a positive force within an inclusive workplace environment; and
  • Has at least two years of relevant professional experience.

Bonus points for:

  • Photography skills;
  • Experience managing and tailoring content for social media platforms;
  • Experience in GetUp-style online campaigning;
  • Being a politics nerd; and
  • Experience working in the media.
