Girl Guides Australia is the peak organisation in Australia for Girl Guiding and not for profit organisation. Girl Guides Australia (GGA) works with State Girl Guiding Organisations (SGGOs) to promote and enable growth and success of Girl Guiding in Australia and advocating for girls and young women nationally and internationally.

Role Description

Girl Guides Australia is seeking an Operations Manager who will be responsible for managing the Girl Guides uniform and resource portfolio, leading procurement projects including annual insurance renewals and managing the international travel events operations. This role will be based in Sydney.

Technical Skills and Experience

  • 5 years + experience as an Operations Manager
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or applicable experience.
  • Self-managed, self-starter.
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities
  • Attention to detail and good project management skills.
  • Business planning and budgeting skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High level project management skills.
  • Sound knowledge of Office 365, Excel and data management systems.
  • Experience in Xero is preferable but not essential.

Your organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritise tasks will be critical.

  • Collaboration: You will work closely with stakeholders, team members, and external partners to achieve project milestones.
  • Continuous Improvement: you will welcome feedback and seek and recommend opportunities for process optimisation or improvement.

Hours and location of work

This is a part-time role based on three days per working week. The role is based in Darlinghurst, Sydney, however, does support hybrid ways of work.
