Looking for a job with purpose and flexibility? Interested in joining a small, friendly, and high capacity team?
Do you have a background in international development, project coordination, and compliance?
Then this job might be for you!
Give Freedom International envisions a world free from human trafficking and exploitation, where every person is able to reach their potential. Having operated for over 10 years, we are now an established charity, looking to grow our supporter base and increase our capacity for impact. Give Freedom International is based primarily in Newcastle, NSW, however our team predominantly works remotely, so we would welcome applicants Australia-wide.
Our mission is to partner with communities at risk of human trafficking to deliver life-changing and sustainable development projects. The current goal of Give Freedom International is to complete The Pokhara Project for our Field Partner, 3 Angels Nepal. The Pokhara Project is a sustainable building development that includes a self-funding school, women’s safe haven, vulnerable children’s homes, a community medical centre, and vocational training facilities.
Our core values are integrity, people, positivity, respect, and excellence. Visit our website for more information at givefreedom.org.au.
We are seeking a part-time, high capacity International Program Manager with previous international development and non-profit experience to join our team.
Reporting to the Managing Director, this position assists the Executive Team in the delivery of Give Freedom’s international development projects.
The International Program Manager works in close partnership with our Field Partner, assisting with and coordinating all aspects of the project cycle, including advising on international development best practice, liaising with partners and specialist contractors, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements, monitoring and evaluation, and reporting on project outcomes.
The International Program Manager will have strong communication, relational, analytical, and problem solving skills.
The International Program Manager has four core areas of responsibility:
Program & Project Management

This is a permanent part-time (12-16 hrs per week) position, with the potential for hours to increase in the future. As our team works part-time—predominantly from Tuesday to Thursday—this role would suit an experienced candidate looking for flexibility around other commitments, as the specifics of days/hours worked can be negotiated or worked flexibly as required.
This position requires a limited amount of travel to Newcastle, with the possibility of Field Partner trips in the future.

As this is a core role within our small team, we are specifically looking for a candidate with the right competency, team chemistry, character, and capacity.
