In response to the recent devastating bushfires in the state of Victoria, the Department of Health and Human Services has implemented a Bushfire Case Support Program which aims to support the personal recovery of people, and social recovery of communities affected by this emergency.

GLCH is a lead agency in this initiative in the East Gippsland region and is seeking applications for Case Coordination Workers.

These positions will work directly with people in affected communities to assess immediate and short terms needs, and provide a range information, advice and support in order to help these individuals, families and communities on the road to recovery.

Position details

  • Fixed term - 12 months
  • Part-time and full-time work negotiable
  • Work location will be negotiated with successful applicants but may include any of the towns in East Gippsland affected by bushfires
  • Applicants should have a suitable qualification such as Bachelor of Social Work, Diploma of Community Welfare Work, or other relevant health and community service qualification
