Goodies Op Shop is seeking enthusiastic volunteers of all ages and abilities to join our friendly team.

Key Responsibilities: 

Some of your duties may include:

• Sorting and Pricing: Efficiently sort and price donated items, categorising them according to their type and condition.
• Areas of Interest: Working in your chosen areas of interest to identify, research, fix, lead, manage inventory of items: Womenswear, childrenswear, menswear, linen, toys, accessories, homewares, hobbies, jewellery, books, rare/antiques.
• Customer Service: Provide friendly and helpful assistance to customers, answering questions and resolving any issues that may arise.
• Stock Management: Maintain a well-organised and visually appealing shop floor, replenishing stock as needed and ensuring adequate display of merchandise.
• Shop Maintenance: Assist with general housekeeping tasks, such as cleaning shelves, dusting displays, and sweeping floors.
• Volunteer Coordination: Collaborate with other volunteers to ensure efficient teamwork and a positive working environment.

• Able to work alone on tasks and along with other volunteers

Additional Information:

• Effort: Can by tailored to suit your needs.
• Time Commitment: Volunteers typically commit to between 4 hours per week (one shift per week, morning or afternoon) -15 hours per week (two days per week).
• Start date: Available immediately 
• Centrelink: Goodies Op Shop is an approved voluntary work organisation with Centrelink for mutual obligations volunteers.
• Clearance: A Police Record Check (also called National Police Certificate’s) is required for this position. This can be done through the Uniting Church and is provided free of charge.
