GSANZ together with the Neighbourhood Community Centres (NCC), Queensland Families and Communities Association (QFCA- the Peak Body for Neighbourhood Houses in Queensland) has been funded by the Queensland Department of Communities, Housing and Digital Engagement (DCHDE) to deliver the Queensland Financial Resilience Program (QFRP) across 20 priority areas in Queensland.

Financial counsellors provide intensive support through an in-depth phone and/or face to face assessment of a person’s financial situation, short / long term case work, advocacy, and the identification of options to address financial concerns.

About The Role

  • SCHADS Level 5
  • Part Time 0.6 FTE, Max Term Contract until 31 December 2025
  • Good Money Southport location

About You

  1. Minimum Financial Counselling qualification (Diploma in Financial Counselling)
  2. Eligibility for registration with relevant state financial counselling peak body
  3. Demonstrated knowledge of the financial and credit industries and their relevant governing legislation, and the community services system
  4. Demonstrated understanding of case work
  5. Demonstrated excellent time management skills
  6. A satisfactory Police Check
  7. A current Employee Working with Children’s Check (WWCC)
