About Gowrie NSW - Newcastle (Mayfield)

Mayfield EEC is big enough for children and educators to have space to explore, discover and learn, but small enough to feel like you are a part of something special. Educators implement an innovative indoor/outdoor program allowing the children to choose the environment they would like to experience. 6 rooms catering for 112 children. 

Your Contribution:

As an Early Childhood Educator you will work closely with the wider team to create a warm and inclusive educational environment for children. Key responsibilities include:

  • creating an engaging play and learning environment
  • working together with families to support learning
  • maintaining and role modelling health and safety practices for children
  • meeting all regulatory and compliance requirements and documentation
  • maintaining active supervision with children across the centre spaces
  • program planning in accordance with Gowrie NSW pedagogy
  • demonstrating professional practice and teamwork
  • comply with and support WHS and Quality Assurance practices

About you and us:

We are looking for educators who would like support, to grow and nurture their practice and grow their career.

You will have: 

  • A passion for working with children
  • Previous experience working in early learning
  • Cert III or Diploma Qualification in Children’s Services
  • Current compliance certificates (e.g. WWCC etc.)
  • Two doses of approved COVID-19 vaccination, with the willingness to comply with additional health requirements (including booster shots)
