THE ROLE

The Program and Public Relations Coordinator supports the Program Director in the day-to-day operations of Greenpeace Australia Pacific’s (GPAP’s) Program Department, and plays a pivotal role in providing coordination capacity for the Program Department, ensuring the seamless execution of program initiatives.

This role supports the Program Director and Program Managers with project coordination, planning, organising publicity campaigns, communication and tracking. The Program and Public Relations Coordinator also works closely with the Finance team, ensuring effective financial management, budget oversight and process improvements for streamlined operations.

This role contributes to the effective functioning of the Program Department and supports GPAP in achieving its strategic objectives.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

You are someone who’s extremely organised and loves working in a fast paced environment, you can work autonomously and as part of a team across multiple projects at the same time.

You’ll also have:

  • At least (4) years’ experience in a similar or related role with experience in planning, promoting, and executing events that raise awareness, engage stakeholders, and support campaign efforts.
  • At least two (4) years experience managing a budget in a professional setting, ensuring effective use of resources.
  • Experience in being able to research a brief for different purposes.
  • Work experience at another NGO (desirable).
  • Capacity to handle sensitive issues and crises effectively, maintaining transparency, and protecting the organisation's reputation.

Annual full-time salary: $79,404.95 per annum + 11.5% superannuation
