ABOUT THE GREENS NSW

The Greens’ movement is based on the four pillars of social equity and economic justice, ecological sustainability, grassroots democracy, and peace, nonviolence and disarmament. Greens’ parties across the world share these same principles and values.

In NSW we have seven Members of Parliament, two Senators in the Federal Parliament, and a significant number of local government Councillors. We are comprised of 60 local groups across the state.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position will undertake fundraising for The Greens NSW and engage with members and supporters to improve their experience with the Greens.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Conduct fundraising activities to achieve an agreed target and surpass if conditions allow.
  • Liaise with the State Lead Organiser, Administration team and committees to ensure coordinated messaging and take fundraising opportunities where they arise
  • Ensure that fundraising activity meets all compliance requirements and meets set messaging objectives
  • Providing engaging and positive member and supporter experiences.
  • Other duties as directed

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

The Fundraising and Engagement Coordinator must meet the following essential requirements:

  • Proficiency in digital fundraising strategies and campaign management
  • Excellent written communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills in managing competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Demonstrated emotional intelligence, problem solving skills and resilience.
  • A commitment to ecological sustainability and social justice.
  • Advanced skills in MS Office and social media platforms

Note: Occasional evening and weekend work and travel within NSW will be required.

Successful candidates must not be a member of another political party.

KEY RELATIONSHIPS

  • State Manager: Direct line manager, formally responsible for human resource and compliance issues, escalate and receive instructions.
  • Work team: Work collaboratively and inclusively with the relevant GNSW staff member on administrative issues.
  • Internal stakeholders: Work with political committees to resolve issues and provide solutions to problems.

SALARY

  • $89,783.84 (Admin step 4) plus 12.5% superannuation. (5 days per week full time)

LOCATION

  • Flexible Hybrid – Office in Camperdown, NSW

POSITION STATUS

  • Permanent part time 4 days per week with full time 5 days considered.
