Local Campaign Coordinators x2 - Sydney and Inner West

The Greens NSW

Short description

The NSW Greens are founded on four pillars- social equity & economic justice, ecological sustainability, grassroots democracy, and peace, nonviolence & disarmament. Greens parties across the world share these values.

The NSW Greens are recruiting two part-time local organiser roles, to help coordinate the Greens’ local government election campaigns for the Inner West and for the City of Sydney in 2024, with one of the roles extending to the Greens Federal election in 2025.

ABOUT THE ROLES

These two part-time roles would be perfect for passionate campaigners or community organisers who believe in progressive politics, and who want to have a meaningful impact on the inner city and inner west of Sydney.

Greens Campaign Coordinators play a leading role in election campaigns. Campaign Coordinators are responsible for implementing a local election campaign, working closely with and supported by a volunteer Campaign Committee made up of Greens members.

The roles also work closely with sitting Greens Councillors, election candidates, volunteers, MPs, and other Greens staff, and engage with community groups and activists across key local issues, including housing and climate justice.

The Inner West Campaign Coordinator will help lead the Greens election campaign for the Inner West Council, to Sept 2024.

The Sydney Campaign Coordinator will help lead the Greens election campaign for the City of Sydney Council, to Sept 2024, and then the Greens Federal Election for Sydney (2025).

Candidates can apply for one or both roles, through the same application.
