Grounded Community Land Trust Advocacy Inc. is a forward-thinking NGO advocating for the development of Community Land Trusts (CLTs) in Australia—an innovative housing model ensuring long-term affordability. While the UK has seen explosive growth in CLTs, Australia is poised to catch up, and Grounded is leading the charge.

We’re looking for passionate individuals to join our voluntary board! To steer our growing organisation, we need a finance & investment advisor, a lawyer with property law experience, and a planner focused on housing affordability.

What We’re Looking For:

We are seeking board members with expertise in:

  • Finance & investment to support Grounded’s growth
  • Property lawyer to navigate legal frameworks for CLTs
  • Planner with a passion for housing affordability

Bonus skills include:

  • Construction project management
  • Advocacy & Policy
  • Grant writing
  • Planning reform
  • Governance & community housing

You’ll play an integral role in simplifying the startup process for CLTs, working to reimagine the development model from a public interest perspective and incorporating best practices in governance, finance, and planning.

Why Join Grounded?

  • Be part of an agile, innovative NGO making a real difference in the housing sector.
  • Work remotely via monthly Zoom meetings (Tuesdays 12:30 – 2PM).
