Gumala Investments Pty Ltd is the Trustee of the General Gumala Foundation (GIPL). The Foundation was established as a public benevolent institution for the objects of the relief of poverty, sickness, suffering, distress, misfortune or destitution of the Gumala Traditional Owners – the Banjima, Yinhawangka and Nyiyaparli people.

The Opportunity:

GIPL has an exciting opportunity for an individual to join the team on a Full Time basis, with flexible working arrangements offered for the right candidate.

This position is responsible for managing and maintaining Gumala Social Investments and funding programs, including GIPL’s housing stock in line with lease agreements and organisational policies.

This is achieved by ensuring maintenance requests are actioned in a timely manner and that regular maintenance is scheduled according to Gumala polices and guidelines. This role is also responsible for developing and implementing the funding program, including social impact measurement of funded projects, and GIPL’s housing program.

  • Funding Program Management
  • Tenancy Management
  • Property Care and Maintenance of Housing Program Assets
  • Staff Management and Leadership

Essential Selection Criteria

  • Demonstrated experience working in challenging circumstances to solve problems
  • High level customer service skills, demonstrated experience communicating to internal and external stakeholders
  • Minimum of 2 years experience managing grant and funding programs
  • Understanding of social impact measurement frameworks including program logic
  • Exceptional time management skills including the ability to track a wide variety of tasks
  • Demonstrated ability to work with Aboriginal people and show respect for culture
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
  • Minimum of 2 years experience with asset management especially related to maintenance
  • Minimum of 2 years experience managing team members, and supporting their skills and development
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, develop and mentor a team to achieve KPIs
  • Experience managing a housing program, with ability to deliver training to the team

Desirable Selection Criteria

  • Prior experience working with Aboriginal people, or being from an Aboriginal background
  • Tertiary qualifications in communication, social impact or similar
