About the Role

Tenancy and Property Managers provide work to ensure Haven; Home, Safe home's are compliant with the Residential Tenancy Act 1997 and aid in supporting efforts including but not limited to tenancy sign up, asset management, maintenance reporting, rent review, complaint management and stakeholder engagement.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Managing and maintaining a client case load in alignment with program guidelines.
  • Utilise a client-centred framework to develop tailored case plans for each client, including conducting assessments, organising referrals and education.
  • Support clients in improving their capacity to secure adequate accommodation through holistic case management.
  • Proactively assist clients in achieving self-reliance using a strengths-based, solution-focused approach.
  • Proactively liaising with community service organisations, such as Centre for Non-Violence
  • Maintain accurate and professional client records, case notes, and documentation.

This role is being offered as a full time, fixed term opportunity until October 2024, based at our Bendigo Office.

About You

We’re looking for an individual who has:

  • Experience working in the community service sector and/or real estate in tenancy and property management.
  • Well-developed negotiation and conflict management skills.
  • Ability to work within various requirements including program, legislative and budgetary constraints.
  • An understanding and empathy of the structural constructs of poverty and homelessness.
  • Ability to work under limited direction.
  • A knowledge, understanding and empathy of the structural constructs of poverty and homelessness.
  • A current Real Estate Agents certificate (desirable).
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
