What is Strategy, Impact and Policy?

The Strategy, Impact and Policy Division at headspace is responsible for headspace National's strategy, policy and evaluation and monitoring functions. As a core part of the Division, the Evaluation and Monitoring Team are responsible for ensuring all headspace services are rigorously monitored and evaluated so that we can systematically track, assess and demonstrate the effectiveness of our services, and support learning and strategic decision making for continuous service improvement and organisational impact.

About the role

The Data Insights and Governance Lead works closely with staff across the organisation and key responsibilities include:

  • Managing, supporting, or advising on the development, maintenance and evolution of the data collected across headspace programs.
  • Leading the development of data definitions and business rules to ensure quality and consistency in data collection and reporting.
  • Developing data governance protocols and supporting the use of consistent processes across all headspace programs.
  • Leading the development of data insights and reports, presentations, and advice for key internal and external stakeholders.

Who we're looking for

headspace is seeking someone with;

  • Experience developing data governance protocols and processes that support the accurate use of data.
  • Expertise and understanding of best practice in the development of data definitions and business rules to ensure quality and consistency in data collection and reporting.
  • High level expertise and experience in the development and implementation of data insights and monitoring processes within a health, mental health or community care setting.
  • High level project management skills, with experience in managing projects to agreed timeframes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience developing analytical reports and the ability to liaise with and present information to diverse audiences.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to work with a broad range of people from a variety of backgrounds and experiences.
  • High-level qualitative and quantitative research design and data analysis skills.
  • Ability to work in a highly productive environment with time pressures whilst managing multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as a productive team member
