What is Strategy, Impact and Policy?

The Strategy, Impact and Policy Division at headspace is responsible for headspace National's strategy, policy and evaluation and monitoring functions. As a core part of the Division, the Evaluation and Monitoring Team are responsible for ensuring all headspace services are rigorously monitored and evaluated so that we can systematically track, assess and demonstrate the effectiveness of our services, and support learning and strategic decision making for continuous service improvement and organisational impact.

Tell me about the role…

The primary purpose of this position is to support the comprehensive monitoring and reporting across headspace programs.

The Monitoring and Reporting Advisor will closely with the Data Monitoring and Insights Lead to manage cross-program data requests and support the monitoring and reporting needs for key internal and external stakeholders, including the headspace Executive Team and program funders. As part of the wider Evaluation & Monitoring Team, the Monitoring and Reporting Advisor will support the development, management and review of program minimum data sets, including documenting business rules and data definitions.

Who we're looking for

  • Qualifications in social or behavioural sciences, evaluation, health sciences or other relevant discipline with a strong monitoring, data reporting or data analysis component.
  • Minimum of 2 years work experience in supporting program monitoring and reporting, or in undertaking quantitative research, data collection or analysis.
  • Experience in the development and implementation of monitoring and reporting processes within a health, mental health or community care setting.
  • Thorough working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience using data analysis, analytics and reporting software, preferably Tableau, Excel, and SPSS.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including experience developing analytical reports, and the ability to liaise with and present information to diverse audiences.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with a broad range of people from a variety of backgrounds and experiences.
