Who we are looking for

headspace is seeking a consultative and collaborative professional who can work together with project team members and stakeholders, building strong relationships to deliver project outcomes within agreed budgets and timeframes for headspace and young people.

It essential that you have:

  • Degree level qualifications in an allied health discipline relevant to health or mental health OR Tertiary degree qualifications in health or other relevant degree
  • Demonstrated clinical training and experience in Health or Mental Health, Human Services, Community Development, Social Science, or related area.
  • Demonstrated experience in working in a project coordination role with a sound knowledge of project management principles and the project management life cycle
  • Proven experience and skills in content and resource development
  • Ability to achieve outcomes within agreed timeframes and budgets and under time pressures and the ability to adapt and work in a flexible environment with time pressures while managing multiple tasks
  • Knowledge, understanding and/or lived experience of the refugee and migrant experience in Australia, including the barriers these experiences may place on help-seeking in multicultural young people, along with the strengths they may possess as a result of these experiences and proven ability and experience in working with people from refugee and migrant backgrounds.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to manage productive stakeholder relationships to gain to achieve project activities
  • Experience working with and supporting young people on project consultations and co-design activities
  • Experience using project and task management tools e.g. Asana, Microsoft project, WRIKE, JIRA and advanced computer skills using Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Proven track record of working with multicultural communities, representatives and organisations.

To be eligible for this position you must:

  • Have the right to live and work full time in Australia.
  • Hold a current Working with Children Check (WWCC).
  • Satisfactorily undergo a headspace Police Check.
