Tell me about the role

  • Develop, maintain, evolve, and govern Minimum Data Sets for key headspace programs, ensuring alignment with evaluation and monitoring frameworks, reporting requirements, service needs, and existing data standards and processes.
  • Coordinate and lead the development and maintenance of data definitions and business rules to ensure quality and consistency in data collection and reporting.
  • Work closely with the Data Governance and Insights Lead to support consistent management of data sets across all headspace programs and services.
  • Support internal and external reporting through liaising with key internal stakeholders, providing expert advice on how to operationalise reporting requirements, careful project management of significant reports, and timely and accurate responsiveness to ad hoc reporting requests.

Who we're looking for

headspace is seeking:

  • A tertiary qualification in a relevant field (e.g. Health Information Management, Health Informatics, Statistics, Psychology, Health Economics, Social Sciences, or other relevant discipline with a strong data management and analysis component)
  • Significant relevant experience in similar roles
  • A high level of expertise and experience in the development and implementation of data collection, quality, management and reporting processes, preferably within a health or mental health setting
  • Evidence of strong commitment to data quality and up-to-date knowledge of regulations, policies, guidelines, and standards relating to health information management, privacy, ethics and quality
  • Familiarity with data capture, data extract, data cleaning and data loading operations
  • Strong analytic skills and experience using data analysis, visualisation and reporting software, such as Excel, Tableau and SPSS

  • The salary for this role is competitive ($90,000 - $100,000) and will be commensurate with skills and experience, plus superannuation and generous salary packaging opportunities up to the maximum amount. $15,900.
