Health Workforce Queensland is a not for profit, non-Government Rural Workforce Agency (RWA) for primary health workforce in Queensland, focused on making sure remote, rural, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island communities have access to highly skilled health professionals when and where they need them, now and into the future. Our Vision is to ensure an optimal health workforce to enhance the health of Queensland communities.
Provider of multidisciplinary Allied Health services largely to participants of the NDIS. The role functions in a close working relationship with other team members to actively contribute to the achievement of this practices strategic goals and objectives that include increased access to comprehensive face to face and virtual allied health care and improved health outcomes for First Nations people.
This role is an ideal opportunity for a graduate or early career professional as it encompasses participation in the AHRG pathway.
Depending on your experience you will be funded to complete the Level 1 or Level 2 (Graduate Diploma) education with James Cook University. Through this work integrated learning program you will be provided with time at work for study, dedicated structured supervision and support, and a unique opportunity to work with our multidisciplinary team contributing to a service development project.

This is a Cairns based business that offers allied health assessments and therapy to a wide range of community clients, both locally and in rural and remote communities. They are committed to a multi-disciplinary person-centred model utilising emerging and existing technologies to assist clients, their family and community to achieve their goals. Due to a period of growth they are seeking suitably qualified professional Speech Pathologists to join their dynamic team. They are excited to support the successful candidate toward becoming a rural generalist through the allied health rural generalist pathway.
