Hear and Say is looking for a Medical Receptionist/Administrator to perform a wide variety of administrative functions to contribute to the best possible experience for our families receiving clinical services, ensuring their NDIS process experience is seamless and manage smooth delivery of in-school hearing screening services.

Key responsibilities

  • Meeting and greeting clients, answering of incoming calls, scheduling appointments, managing waiting lists, processing payments using HICAPS and invoicing for services.
  • Ensuring processes are followed to remain compliant with relevant legislation and government regulations eg: (NDIS).
  • Ensuring appropriate medical records and files are maintained to provide accountability to our clients, the organisation’s management and relevant funding bodies.
  • Handling payments and daily banking (sales, debtors, billing, reconciliation) in liaison with the accounts/finance teams.
  • Assisting with facilities management coordination.
  • Assisting with the IT Helpdesk ticket maintenance.

Basis for selection

  • Experience with practice management software Genie and HICAPS
  • Great multitasker with very strong attention to detail
  • Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Good time management and organisational skills
  • Maturity and ability to use initiative and discretion
  • A professional but family friendly approach, with demonstrated ability to liaise effectively with a diverse range of people
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (including Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint)
