ABOUT THE ROLE

The Marketing and Digital Communications Coordinator will work in collaboration with the Digital Strategy and Consumer Communications Manager and the Marketing and Communications team to implement, execute and promote the delivery of a series of digital and communication projects. The projects also focuses on the promotion of consumer education resources, digital assets and support materials through digital and traditional communications channels. Working to tight deadlines, this role is responsible for coordinating that elements are delivered on time.

This role will contribute to the execution of a digital and content strategy that aligns itself with the objective of being a trusted information and education source and community advocate. External collaboration will include working with expert groups, individuals, contractors and other key stakeholders, to produce information and resources and ensure that content checkpoints are in place to maintain quality (editorial guidelines, content workflows, etc) and frequency of content production by coordinating the communications and content/ editorial calendar.

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

  • Tertiary qualification in communications, combined with experience in a marketing and/or communications, digital strategy, especially communication planning and digital reporting
  • A proven history of planning, developing and managing social media strategies
  • Previous experience in a not-for-profit or health related field highly desirable
  • A strong communicator that has experience working sensitively with people from diverse backgrounds
  • Ability to create engaging, brand-aligned content across various formats including video, blog posts, EDM, website, social media creative and copy
  • Well-developed content design and development skills including digital publishing
  • An understanding of the fundamentals of both traditional and digital marketing and ability to effectively communicate information and ideas in written, digital and video format
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a busy team whilst taking ownership and managing multiple, competing deadlines
  • Strong planning and time management skills, with precise attention to detail and excellent editing, proofing and copywriting skills
  • Experience with Salesforce and journey management for key persona journeys
  • Strong knowledge of Canva, In-Design, Meta Business, content management systems and Microsoft Suite
  • A current National Police Criminal History Check and a current Working with Children Check
  • A sense of humour, fun and inspiration
