Hepatitis ACT is a community based, for-purpose organisation providing a range of initiatives, projects and programs to address stigma, improve the lives of those affected by viral hepatitis and meet emerging liver health challenges. We acknowledge the diversity of the people and communities whose lives may be affected and represent their interests in the work we do.
At Hepatitis ACT, we're on a mission to raise awareness and advocate for those affected by VIRAL hepatitis and liver health issues. The Communications Officer role exists to amplify our voice and ensure our message reaches and resonates with the community. You'll be at the heart of our communications, creating engaging content, managing our social media, and coordinating impactful campaigns. This role is all about making a difference—helping to inform and educate the public, reduce stigma, and support those living with VIRAL hepatitis. By joining us, you'll play a vital part in creating a healthier and more informed community.
We’re looking for someone who is passionate about making a difference and has a knack for storytelling. Ideally, you have a tertiary qualification in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing, or a related field, coupled with at least 2 years of professional experience. You’re proficient with social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, and you’re always on the lookout for the latest trends and technologies.
Your strong verbal and written communication skills, along with excellent attention to detail, make you adept at writing for different audiences. You’re a proactive problem-solver, highly organised, and can manage multiple projects and priorities with ease. You thrive in a team setting, working collaboratively with colleagues, and you're not afraid to roll up your sleeves and dive into tasks outside your typical scope.
Experience with website/CRM maintenance is a plus. Additionally, if you’re a creative storyteller with a keen awareness of public health issues and the media landscape in Australia, you’ll fit right in.
If you’re enthusiastic about public health, eager to learn, and ready to contribute to a meaningful cause, we’d love to hear from you!
At Hepatitis ACT, we believe in providing a supportive and flexible work environment that allows our team members to thrive both personally and professionally. Here’s what we offer:
We are committed to fostering a positive, inclusive, and rewarding workplace where you can grow and make a real impact on the community. Join us and be part of a team dedicated to creating a healthier and more informed community!
