About the role

As Project Manager – HepLink Australia you will be a member of a small team including, and under the direction of, the Programs Director.

Key responsibilities of this role will include:

  • Managing and developing the HepLink Australia program coordinated by Hepatitis Australia and delivered through its 8 member organisations across Australia.
  • Ensuring timely delivery of critical program elements in order to meet Hepatitis Australia’s Federal Government contractual requirements.
  • Acting as the point of contact and leadership/support for the provider organisations and ensure the agreed accountabilities are being met in the delivery of the program jurisdictionally.
  • Monitoring and providing basic analysis of data collected to form the HepLink Australia national minimum dataset.
  • Developing and providing workforce support activities that strengthen a cohesive national response through HepLink Australia.
  • Reporting on progress of the HepLink Australia program and ensuring its alignment with the strategic objectives and vision of Hepatitis Australia. 

About you (Selection Criteria)

Within the context of the role described above, the ideal applicant will be someone who has the following key capabilities:

Tertiary qualifications/experience/other requirements:

  • Tertiary degree qualifications in a related discipline (eg. management, public health, social sciences or communication) and/or demonstrated substantial experience in a not-for-profit environment, health or community sector.
  • Substantial knowledge and experience in managing programs, projects and contracts with Government and other funding bodies.
  • Strong project management, documentation, configuration, and process mapping skills including knowledge of evaluative practice and benefits realisation.
  • Knowledge of, or the capacity to quickly acquire and apply knowledge of, data management and analysis

  • Knowledge of, or the capacity to quickly acquire and apply knowledge of, viral hepatitis, and a sound understanding and commitment to Hepatitis Australia’s strategic agenda, including the issues, programs and initiatives associated with the organisation’s strategic plan.

  • Ability to problem solve and take initiative, with strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Ability to handle diverse situations, multiple projects, and rapidly changing priorities - has a growth mindset, creative and able to quickly adapt to new and emerging situations.

Hepatitis Australia, incorporated in 1997, is the national peak community organisation progressing national action on issues of importance to people affected by hepatitis B and hepatitis C. We work closely with the eight state and territory hepatitis organisations, who are members of Hepatitis Australia. Hepatitis Australia is a registered health promotion charity and has current registration with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission.
